The Coles County Soil and Water Conservation District will be hosting a Pond Management Seminar at 5:30pm on Wednesday, September 6, 2017. Guest speaker Mike Mounce, IDNR Fish Biologist, will be addressing topics such as fish management, species identification, aquatic vegetation control, pond construction and maintenance, and stocking recommendations. Bring your questions and a chair! Refreshments will be provided. Please contact the office to RSVP or if you have questions.
From Charleston:
Take 4th Street south out of town (it becomes Lincoln Hwy Road) for approx 7 miles. Turn left onto County Road 100N (before Lincoln Log Cabin State Historic Site). Follow the road around the curve, and take the first left onto CR 80N. Follow the lane to the end.
From Mattoon:
Take Rt. 16 East toward Charleston. Turn right at the stoplight onto the Lerna Road. Stay on the Lerna Road (it becomes East Lincoln Hwy Road) for approximately 14 miles. Take the left fork of the Y onto Lincoln Highway Road, and then take the immediate right onto County Road 100 N. Follow the road around the curve, and take the first left onto CR 80N. Follow the lane to the end.
