After several years without any state cost-share funds, the Coles County SWCD has received an allocation to help fund conservation practices in our area! The Coles County SWCD is currently accepting applications for the Partners for Conservation funding program. Practices such as cover crops, well decommissioning, grass waterways, etc., may be eligible for cost-share assistance. Applications must be received by August 15, 2017 for consideration. Additionally, the NRCS is accepting applications for two funding programs, CSP and EQIP. These programs provide financial and technical assistance to agricultural producers while strengthening the overall farming and conservation operation. Many practices are eligible, including specific initiatives such as Monarch Habitat and High Tunnel systems.
