The Coles County SWCD is offering an internship as an Education Specialist for the 2019-2020 school year. Under the guidance of the Education Coordinator, the Education Specialist-Intern will develop and present conservation, environmental, and agricultural education programs to audiences of all ages while learning how state learning standards apply to the curriculum. They will have the opportunity to develop planning, organization, communication, and teaching skills. Networking and portfolio development opportunities will also be available. The schedule is flexible (part-time), but candidate must be available during most K-12 classroom hours and is expected to complete 500 hours between August 2019 – May 2020.
