The e-recycling collection trailer will arrive at the SWCD office at 9 am, and we will collect items until 11am or the trailer is full… whichever happens first! Most electronics will be accepted, but if you have questions or aren’t sure about an item, please call ahead.
This collection event is open to all residents of the Coles County Soil and Water Conservation District boundaries (ie: Anyone who lives in Coles County). If you live in another county we can try to help you find a collection event in your area. Just give us a call or send a message!
There isn’t a set limit to how many items people can bring, but the trailer is only 24 ft. long. We are asking folks to please try to bring a conservative amount so that others can use the service as well. Several other recycling events will be held next year, so there’ll be another chance to bring items in then!
On the day of the event, the e-recycling trailer will park on Development Drive by the entrance to our office. Vehicles dropping off electronics will be asked to line up facing WEST on Development Drive starting at our driveway. Please be courteous and try not to block the entrance to our office or of other businesses on the road. The easiest way to get in line will be to turn onto Park Drive (the first road north of Route 16), and then turn left onto Development Drive.
