Associate Directorships
Do you have an interest in natural resource conservation, agricultural sustainability, science education, public service, and/or local government? Do you have a few hours of free time on the second Tuesday morning of each month? Have you considered becoming an associate director for the Coles County SWCD?
Associate directors provide advice, input, perspective, and manpower to the SWCD board. They are valuable members of committees, help plan events, present at educational events and meetings, and support the overall mission of the SWCD, but do not vote on official business. Serving as an associate director is also a great way to receive training and to learn more about the SWCD before running for election as a director.
If you are interested in becoming an associate director, please reach out to an existing director or call the office for more information.
