The Coles County Soil and Water Conservation District Foundation (a 501c3 non-profit organization) manages an annual scholarship program, which awards merit-based scholarships to college students from Coles County who are majoring in natural resources, biology, agriculture, and similar conservation-related fields. In the past 5 years, 12 scholarships have been awarded for a total of $7,250.
2020-2021 scholarship application packets are available for download here or may be picked up in person at the office. High school seniors and current college students from Coles County who are enrolled in a conservation-related degree program are encouraged to apply. The application deadline for the 2021-2022 school year is March 31st, 2021.
