As of 2026, the only drill Coles County SWCD offers is a Truax Seed Slinger (broadcast seeder) designed to mount on ATVs. This model has two seed boxes to handle native fluffy seeds, wildflowers, legumes, etc., simultaneously, and is available to landowners planting CP42 Pollinator Habitat, CP33 Field Borders, and similar applications on smaller fields where a large drill isn’t practical. The Seed Slinger rents for $50 per day.
