Being born and raised in Coles County, I am very familiar with both the area and the goals of the SWCD. I attended many SWCD events with my grandparents (Rollie and Lois) when I was younger. This early introduction to conservation led me to study biological sciences in college. I earned an assoc. degree from Lake Land College in Dec. of 2010, and completed my Bachelor’s degree at Eastern Illinois University in Dec. of 2015. I am now working towards my Master’s degree in the Biological Sciences Department at EIU. For the last few years I’ve been spending my summers working as a seasonal park ranger for US Army Corps of Engineers lake and dam projects in Oklahoma and Kentucky. I look forward to helping with the resource conservation goals of the CCSWCD, and to getting to meet and work with many of you!
